For each child and accompanying parent WWCF brings to New York City for medical care, the length of stay required could be weeks to months depending on each case. During their time in New York we seek to place child and parent with a loving host family in the area. These host families provide immeasurable emotional, as well as logistical support throughout these stressful times. In turn, host families find the experience to be very rewarding. The bond between our host families and our children and their parents often are maintained long after the return of child and parent to their home country. The WWCF is proud of our host family program and very grateful for having this extended team of heroes for opening their homes and hearts to help a child in need.
