Throughout his career, James Cavello has served on the board of many non-profit
organizations with an understanding it is essential to ‘give back’ in life. Previous positions
include, Director of the Museum of the National Arts Foundation and Governor on the board
of The National Arts Club, NYC. He currently serves as President of the Worldwide
Children’s Foundation of New York.
Mr. Cavello is known for his efforts to assist non-profits through his philanthropic
commitment to the arts. He has curated children’s art exhibitions to benefit fund raising
events for Kids Earth Fund and Association to Benefit Children. These exhibitions
highlighted children’s artwork from war torn countries such as Kosovo, Vietnam and
Afghanistan. Other organizations include, Planet Hope, Big Apple Circus and Beth Israel
Hospital. He is also on the advisory board for SoHo Partnership, a community program to
enable New York City’s homeless to re-enter the workforce and achieve self sufficiency.
In 2006 Mr. Cavello was honored with an award from the Edwin Gould Services for
Children and Families, a foster care agency in New York, for his humanitarian work. In
2007 he was the recipient of the Artists for Human Rights award, an organization dedicated
to providing international awareness of human rights through the arts.
James Cavello is President and Owner of Corporate Arts Associates, Ltd and Westwood
Gallery located in New York City. He is well known as an art curator, consultant, patron
and collector. His collaboration with museums, corporations and collections has garnered
him international recognition. Mr. Cavello acquires and sells master works of art privately
and at auction.
